In the state of Illinois, a lash artist has to be a licensed professional, either an aesthetician or a cosmetologist.
In order to be accepted for training from the top lash companies like Xtreme Lash, LLC or Nova Lash you have to be licensed first.
Once you complete lash training, then you can purchase medical-grade adhesive and products. The education process is very extensive, expensive and time-consuming.
Nowadays, many “lash artists” are not licensed or properly trained. They can purchased cheap products from Asia and offer lash extensions at a low price.
It is essential to be well-informed about the products your eyelash artist uses near your eyes. As a responsible, professional, I exclusively use medical-grade curing adhesive in my practice. These adhesives are not only flexible, but also have impressive retention period of up to eight weeks. Furthermore, they have received FDA approval for use near the delicate eye area.
Please note that the information provided above is applicable for the United Kingdom, European Union, and United States, ONLY. These regions have stringent regulations in place to ensure the use of medical-grade products and adhesive that do not contain any toxic binders.
Additionally, I am proud to be registered with NOVA Lash, and Xtreme Lashes, LLC, which further demonstrates my commitment to using high-quality and safe products.
It is important to be cautious, when considering adhesives from other regions, especially those manufactured in Asia. Adhesives from these areas are often significantly cheaper and lack proper regulations. They typically have shorter retention periods of only one to two weeks, and can be drying adhesives, rather than curing adhesives. Moreover, some of these products may contain toxic binders to keep cost low.
Certain “lash artists” may have a preference for using these types of adhesives as they believe it can lead to increased revenue by encouraging clients to return more frequently.
By choosing a professional eyelash artist who uses medical-grade adhesives and prioritizes your safety, you can have peace of mind knowing that your eyes and lashes are in good hands.

- Please arrive at your appointment with clean lashes (no makeup) no eyeliner, eyeshadow, or strip lash glue. If your lashes require deep cleaning, a lash bath will be required that will result in a $20 fee.
- I do not fill other lash technician’s work, however, I do offer a removal service along with a fresh set. This option is available as an add-on when booking your appointment.
- Please schedule your fills 2-3 weeks after your full-set appointment. 40% of the extensions are REQUIRED to be considered a fill. Anything less than 40% will be charged as a FULL SET price.
- Initial full set appointment: This is the first appointment where your eyelash extensions are applied. It usually takes 1.5-2 hours to complete.
- First lash fill appointment: This appointment is recommended approximately 2 to 3 weeks after your initial full set appointment. It helps to maintain the fullness and longevity of your lash extensions.
- Ongoing maintenance: After your second filling, it is recommended to reschedule regular lash fillings every 2 to 3 weeks to maintain the desired fullness and to replace any lashes that have naturally shed.
Remember, these time frames can vary, depending on your individual lash growth cycle and how well you care for your lash extensions. It’s important to consult with your lash technician for personalized recommendations on when to schedule your lash fill.

CANCELATION POLICY OR RESCHEDULING NOTICE
We kindly request that you provide us with at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows me enough time to offer the time slot to another client who maybe waiting for an appointment.
LATE CANCELATION OR NO SHOW
For cancellation or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time, or in the case of no-show, a fee of 50% of the service cost will be charged.
ARRIVAL TIME
We recommend that you arrive on time for your appointment to ensure that you receive the full treatment. If you arrive late, it may be necessary to shorten the duration of your service, as we need to maintain punctuality.
RESCHEDULING POLICY
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. However, frequent rescheduling may result in the inability to schedule future appointments.

Licensed Esthetician
Elizabeth began her career in the medical field as a surgical technician at Alexian Brothers Hospital in Illinois, specializing in head and neck surgeries. She later became a state Licensed Esthetician and obtained her medical aesthetic certificate from the College of Cosmetic Medicine in Chicago.
With expertise in medically supervised cosmetic injections, laser skin resurfacing, laser hair removal, LLLT, Elizabeth managed two medi spas on the North Shore. She expended her skill set by acquiring licenses in Nail Technology, certifications in Colon Hydrotherapy, permanent makeup, and eyelash extensions from industry leading companies like Xtreme Lash, LLC and Nova Lash.
Throughout her career, Elizabeth worked with plastic surgeons and cosmetic dermatologist, until her passion for travel, took her on a new journey. Eight years ago she started a small business, offering eyelashes and skin care services allowing her the flexibility to savor life’s moments and pursue her love for travel.
